1c_variation with error

The following is a quick study in response to the quote below from the Ali Rahim article:

"Once lineages have produced effects(,) memes provide for the dissemination of ideas that cross these lineages. Memes are copied behaviours and are transmitted either through people by heredity, in which the form and details of behaviours are copied; through variation, in which the behaviours are copied with errors; and through selection, in which only some behaviours are successfully copied..."

Using the framework of fractals as a concept for lineage system, I introduced a simple stimulus (or rule) which "produc[ed] or transform[ed] a situation through influence and effect".








I found most interesting:
1. the increasing number of individual variations.
2. playing with the lineweights and figure/ground relationship of the apertures created.
3. the three-dimensional impression of the large-scale patterns.
